These teddybear goldendoodle puppies full grown will be in the 15-25lb range. The average teddybear goldendoodle puppy from this cross ranges in the 20-22lb range.
Are they allergy friendly ?
The short answer is yes!
Mom is an F1 Goldendoodle, Dad is a Multigen Goldendoodle he fits in the F1BB category. The goldendoodle puppies from this cross are roughly 72-75% poodle and 25-27% retriever . The genetics don’t exactly come across as a neat number that’s why there is a range . They range in the F1b range which is 75% poodle 25% retriever. We recommend having over 65% poodle if someone is considered about allergies.
These puppies will have more hair than fur. This adds to the hypoallergenic qualities that are essential for a teddybear goldendoodle. All puppies will have a copy of furnishings which also helps in not shedding.
Remember it is important if you do struggle with allergies to keep your goldendoodle puppy groomed. Hair that is left too long is more prone to cause allergies because it can trap outdoor allergens in it. Keeping your doodle groomed frequently and their hair shorter (in a puppy cut) will help to reduce the chance of allergies.
Will they shed ?
They can have some minimal shedding, like what a human may loose when they brush their hair. This cross is wonderful because we are able to add in the hypoallergenic qualities, such as the non shedding gene from the poodle, while maintaining the love of the golden retriever.
