Training Goldendoodles from day one

Early training is crucial for goldendoodle puppies as it sets the foundation for their behavior and development. Here are some reasons why early training is important for goldendoodle puppies:

1. Socialization: Goldendoodle puppies need to be socialized with people, other animals, and different environments from a young age. This helps them become well-adjusted and confident dogs, reducing the risk of fear or aggression towards unfamiliar situations.

2. Bonding: Training sessions provide an opportunity for the puppy to bond with their owner. This strengthens the relationship and helps build trust between the two. Puppies need to learn to bond from a young age so they are able to connect with their families when they go to their new homes.

3. Basic obedience: Early training helps establish basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, and come. This makes it easier to manage the puppy and prevents them from developing bad habits. This foundation makes it easier for their families to have a smooth transition.

4. Mental stimulation: Training exercises challenge the puppy's mind and keep them mentally stimulated. This can prevent boredom and destructive behaviors.

5. Potty training: Starting potty training early can help the puppy learn where and when to eliminate, making the process easier and quicker. This strong foundation starts at day one and continues until they leave our home at eight weeks old.

6. Safety: Training can teach the puppy important safety commands such as "leave it" or "drop it, or most importantly Puppy, Puppy, Puppy. This teaches a puppy recall to help them stay safe if they wander too far.

7. Good manners: Early training can help the puppy learn good manners, such as not jumping on people or not pulling on the leash. This makes them more pleasant to be around and easier to handle in public.

Overall, early training is essential for goldendoodle puppies to develop into well-behaved, well-adjusted, and happy dogs. It is important for their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and sets them up for a lifetime of success.
